History:

Roses have existed since prehistoric times, as fossil evidence shows. Over 5,000 years ago, roses were originally cultivated in gardens in Asia. During the Roman Empire, roses were brought to Europe, where they were mainly used as decorations. At lavish feasts and banquets, Nero was said to have thrown rose petals from the ceiling, while Cleopatra is reported to have scattered rose petals at the feet of Mark Anthony.

How to Plant the Rose Seeds:

Note: The stratification process must be managed 30 to 50 days before sowing.

The first step is stratification.

As it requires a low temperature (below 5°C), it is best to carry this out in winter. Soak the seeds in gibberellin-enriched water for 48 hours. The seeds should then be mixed with moist sand (1:3). The wet sand can be shaped in your hands but should be crumbled without your hands. After that, place them in a low-temperature environment for 30 to 50 days. (You can store them in the fridge.)

Secondly: Planting

Moisten the soil before planting, then plant the seeds by covering them with 1 to 1.5 cm of soil. 20°C is the ideal temperature.

Thirdly: After Planting

It does not require regular watering, but please keep the soil moist. (Just moist; it should not be standing in water.) Germination usually takes about 15 days.

Fourthly: How to Get Flowers

1. Enough sunlight: at least half a day of sunlight per day, with adequate air circulation.

2. Regularly prune back.

3. Timely fertilisation.

4. Flower pots do not need to be changed annually, but if they are too small, they should be replaced with larger ones.
